The Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage and the President of Athletics Kenya (GenTuwei) have this morning, condoled with the family of Agnes Tirop, following the untimely demise of the young athlete on 12th October, 2021.

We will remember our hero Agnes as a kind, determined and inspirational woman. May her parents be comforted, as we continue to pursue justice for her and her family.

Agnes Tirop will be buried on Saturday, 23rd October, at her family home in Kapnyemeisa , Nandi County.
